Promoter Shim's threats haunt Johan in the ring. Later, Sua introduces him to her new friends Sumiko — and Ryu, who he spends two unforgettable days with.

Back in Tokyo and Seoul, Ryu and Johan stay in touch, keeping each other updated on their lives and future plans. Johan springs a surprise visit.

After a peaceful time in Nasu, Johan heads back to Korea for military service. Arata finally wakes up. Ryu introduces Sumiko to Seiichi, who falls hard.

Mr. Shim's retaliation sends Johan into hiding. Unable to reach him, Ryu travels to Seoul and tries to track him down with Sua's help.

Tragedy befalls the tight-knit group at their happiest moment. When Sumiko falls apart, Ryu and Johan whisk her away to Nasu. They make a bold suggestion.

The three friends settle into their new life together, but everyone struggles to balance family and work. Johan gets his numbness checked out.

Years later, Ryu unearths a sketchbook left behind in his uncle's studio. Meanwhile, Johan reflects on his tough life and how Ryu changed everything.
