1Krista and Redmond
Redmond, a Navy Corpsman Combat Medic, lost his leg after stepping on an IED in Afghanistan. Refusing to let his disability slow him down, Redmond went on to become a motivational speaker, and while competing at the Warrior Games, he met Krista. Krista is a firefighter and now works at one of the nation’s busiest stations in Los Angeles. Both have devoted their lives to serving others.

At the age of 22, Kristin was one of the youngest known women to be diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, which progressed to stage 4 within weeks; even in her darkest moments, her boyfriend, Luis, never left her side.

After receiving a phone call that his mother had been shot and killed in the Charleston church massacre, Chris forgives the shooter at an emotional news conference; he and his girlfriend, Mariana, now take care of his younger siblings.
4Jennifer and Robert
At age 28, Jennifer is diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and her health begins to deteriorate shortly until she needs to be hospitalized while waiting to receive a lung transplant; through the entire process, Robert is constantly by her side.
